Interior design is a form of self-expression, visual communication, creativity and art. My work showcases ideas that have been developed into a feeling and experience. I focus on creating functional, modern and pleasant spaces while incorporating sustainability and nature through material selection.
The certificate and diploma program at BCIT have enabled me to acquire and build upon various skills and utilize my strengths. I highly value the design process and find each step to be a contributing factor to a successful design. My portfolio includes pieces that exhibit my ability to space plan, create material boards, and develop strong design concepts. I’ve learned to effectively use programs such as AutoCad, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office.
My strong attention to detail and organization has been an asset throughout my work. I am a great team leader and I work well under pressure. I enjoy the problem-solving, exploration, and challenging aspects of interior design.
